Having hunted dozens of stands over the decades it’s clear that this one, sturdy with an autumn brown finish, is ready to hunt. The double cinch straps mean a firm grip, minimizing shifting and wobble during a leaning quartering away shot. The hex screw angle adjustment means that a leaning tree with a natural back rest is a definite option. (I didn’t see a hex wrench in the packaging but could have missed it.) The small hard seat, as with most stands, is not adequate for extended sits, especially for older hunters, but a cushion solves the problem; note that the cushion in photo was securely attach easily with two large rubber bands. This is not a portable stand one carries to hunt different locations day by day. It’s too heavy and the setup will take time and be disruptive in a quiet woods. Use a saddle or minimalist stand when roving. The amply sized platform and double cinch straps (zip tie one end to the stand so as not to lose them) offer stability, and the flexibility to accommodate all shooting styles, from long bows to cross bows. If looking for a stand to hunt through the season, staying firmly in place, then this one is an option.
